Glimpse Of The Ghana Infectious Disease Center Built In Just 3 Months

Scenes from the much talked about Ghana Infectious Disease Center have hit the internet as many are impressed with the outcome of the funds and effort put into setting up the facility.

The 100-bed ultra-modern facility was built in 90 days(3 months) by 536 men and women who worked tirelessly to get the health center ready for use.

The center, funded majorly by the private sector with support from individual donors, is an initiative of the incumbent NPP government in its fight against the perilous COVID-19 pandemic.

The Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia in commissioning the facility on Saturday, July 25, 2020, commended the exceptional display of patriotism by Ghanaians in support of the government to set up the very first Infectious Disease facility in the country.

Also, the Vice President applauded the dedicated men and women of the Ghana Medical Association and COVID-19 Case Management Experts for their efforts in ensuring the facility is fit for its specialized purpose.

The donors to this project included: Bank of Ghana, Association of Bankers GNPC, Fidelity Bank, Ecobank, Ghana National Gas Company, CH Group, Legend and Glass Aluminium Systems, and Tropical Cable and Conductors.
