  Former member of Lynx entertainment, Mzvee has made her choice between singers, Kuame Eugene and Kidi. In an interview with Abeiku Santana on Okay FM, the singer revealed that she will choose Kidi over Kuame Eugene to be featured on her song. She explained that, she knows Kidi more than Kuame Eugene and the vibe between her and Kidi is far better than between her and Eugene. Mzvee after leaving Lynx entertainment has been dropping singles but hopes to compile an album by the end of the year. Her new single, ‘Baby’ is doing well and has been receiving massive airplay in the media.  

  Yesterday, social media was awashed with news that hiplife artiste, Kuame Eugene has welcomed a new born baby girl with his girlfriend. The Lynx Entertainment artiste posted a video of himself holding the baby and followed it with a thanks giving headline. Many people thought that was his baby and it was all over social media and on various blogs. But it turned out that, the baby was actually not for Kuami Eugene. In a new video making the rounds on social media, Kuami Eugene is seen talking about the whole issue. He noted that the child was actually his big sister’s child and he was only happy for being an uncle for the first time. He thanked those who called or texted to congratulate him but emphasized that he has not given birth yet. Watch the video below.

  Ghanaian actress and socialite, Efia Odo has suggested that government officials should be made to be driving Kantaka cars instead of foreign ones. Apostle Sarfo Kantanka is a Ghanaian car manufacturer who has been producing some of the best cars in terms of quality and durability in this part of the world. His creativity and innovative skills has helped him produce some of the most classy cars of our time. Despite the fact that he’s a citizen and produces some of the best cars, the political class and the well-to-do in society does not patronize his products like they do with foreign produced cars. Efia Odo is suggesting that, there should be a conscious effort to get Ghanaians especially government officials to buy Kantanka cars. This is in the hope that it will boost the company and also provide jobs for the teeming unemployed youth as the company expands.   Frank Freebody Mensah, manager of popular musician Patapaa, says his artistes has fully recovered from an acute ailment. News about the “One Corner” hitmaker earlier in the week suggested that he had been poisoned and at the verge of death. But his manager has clarified what transpired earlier this week stating that Patapaa’s hospitalization had nothing to do with food poisoning. “Patapaa has fully recovered and on his feet now. As I earlier stated the news that came in the week about the poisoning is false and misleading. “He was discharged on Wednesday and we want to thank God for his mercies,” he told GNA Entertainment in an interview. “I want to urge all fans to be calm and disregard any reports about his death. “They should keep praying for the artiste so that he can entertain them with more hit songs,” he added. It can be recalled that in 2019, Pataapa had a food poisoning scare which kept him out of the music sidelines.

  Former President John Dramani Mahama and Flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress ( NDC) has promised the people of Akatsi South that youth employment will be cardinal in his second coming. He therefore urged the people to turn out in many droves to vote massively to make this possible. The former President said this on Tuesday, when he met the chiefs of Akatsi South, some religious groups and the leadership of the party in the constituency at Akatsi-Torve Kpota Catholic Diocese long hall. He stated that when Ghanaians gifted him with another mandate after the December 7 polls, he would complete all the projects that were initiated by the NDC, but halted. Mr Mahama enumerated some abandoned projects such as the Akatsi District hospital, which he said was 90 percent complete, some electrification projects in the area, including; the Avenorpeme to Xavi road, Ave-Dakpa road among others.   Movie star and politician, John Dumelo has distributed food to the victims of the Shiashie fire outbreak. Some structures in Shiashie, a suburb of the capital city of Accra was gutted by fire some few days ago. The cause of the fire is still sketchy. Thousands of residents were rendered homeless and properties running into tens of thousands of Ghana cedis were also lost to the fire. John Dumelo who is aspiring to represent the people of Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency in parliament on the ticket of the National Democratic Congress was seen at the site when the fire was razing down the structures. For the past five days, he and his team have been extending a helping hand to the people of Shiashie by providing the victims with food to cushion their plight.   The police have issued a safety alert for the public to be wary of strange objects people chance upon. This follows the explosion at the La Beach in Greater Accra last week which caused various degrees of injury to four children who were playing along the beach. The incident happened on Wednesday, August 5, 2020. The four children who were playing along the La Beach chanced on an object which according to sources looked like a grenade. While playing with it, the object exploded and injured the four children. A police statement dated Monday, August 10, 2020 and issued by the Head of Police Public Affairs Unit in Accra, DSP Effia Tenge said “all four children have so far been treated and discharged.” The statement advised the general public especially parents, community leaders, local folks among others to immediately draw the attention of the police for the appropriate response when they chance on strange objects.   Ghana midfielder Thomas Partey was negative as two positive Coronavirus cases confirmed was reported among Atletico Madrid’s 93-person group that is expected to travel to Portugal.
